Therefore, respect others and you will find happiness.

Therefore, if you want to be happy, act justly.

Begrudging others leads to disharmony.
Without harmony there can be no happiness.
Therefore, let go of grudges and restore harmony.
In a harmonious world, happiness is possible.

Happiness at another’s expense is an offence against the community.
Happines that is self-centered is short-lived.
You didn’t mention turning off “the news.” We now live in a world of 24/7 news coverage and the impulse to stay informed is hard to turn off. Yet, with your list, I think it’s at least possible to maintain an interest in “the news.” Thanks.
