[The Lost Art of Happiness] was a really refreshing read. I am working on my dissertation right now, which is a project in philosophy of psychology, looking at the methodologies of positive psychology. I’ve been reading so much pop-psych about happiness – and there is so much repetition. I feel like I know what the table of contents will be before I open up the book!
Your book was quite a different story. There was so much material that I had never encountered before, and yet it was so consistent with the research I’ve read. I loved the aphorisms too. It’s such a great tool for the average person to use. It’s easy to forget everything you just read when you close a book, but they give the reader something to work with so that they can really use the insights in their everyday life.
